MUZAFFARABAD (Kahmir English): In the ICC Champions Trophy match today in Dubai, India successfully chased 242 runs in 42.3 overs and defeated Pakistan by six wickets.

During the ICC Champions Trophy match, India won by six wickets against Pakistan in Dubai by chasing 242 runs within 42.3 overs. The Indian triumph in this match depended heavily on the century Virat Kohli produced as team captain.

The Pakistani batting line-up was all out at 241 runs in 49.4 overs, leaving two balls unused. The match began as Imam-ul-Haq, along with Babar Azam, made a 41-run partnership, yet Babar got out for 23 runs. The batting sequence continued with Imam-ul-Haq, who failed to progress beyond 10 runs before being dismissed via a run-out.

The innings gained stability when Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel built a 103-run partnership, with Rizwan scoring 46 runs while Shakeel top-scored with 62. Pakistan struggled after Tayyab Tahir contributed 4 runs, eventually posting a total of 241.

The Indian bowling attack performed strongly, with Kuldeep Yadav taking 3 wickets, Hardik Pandya 2 wickets, and Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, and Harshit Rana each claiming one wicket.

India’s first batting pair, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill began confidently in pursuit of 242 runs. In the fifth over, Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled Rohit Sharma cleanly, reducing India to 31/1. After ten overs, India had scored 64 runs for the loss of one wicket, with Gill at 35 runs and Kohli at 6 runs.

By placing their shots strategically throughout the ground, the Indian hitters were able to keep control. With an incredible century, Kohli led India to 244/4 in 42.3 overs. While Pakistan’s fans were dissatisfied with their team’s batting, bowling, and fielding performance, the Indian team’s performance was outstanding in every way.

India easily defeated the Green Shirts due to Pakistan’s poor batting lineup. India chased the target in less than 42 overs and won by six wickets. Virat Kohli’s outstanding fielding and 100-run total will probably earn him the title of Man of the Match.

India improved its standing in the group stage with this win, while Pakistan now has more difficult obstacles to overcome in the tournament.
