Here’s how much Imran Khan’s eyesight improved; latest medical report revealed

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): A team of expert doctors conducted a complete and detailed medical examination of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan’s eyesight in Adiala jail on Sunday.

According to the medical examination report revealed today, Imran Khan’s eyesight has improved significantly, while the medical team has expressed complete satisfaction with the ongoing treatment.

The medical board included Professor Dr. Nadeem Qureshi of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital and Professor Dr. Muhammad Arif Khan of PIMS.

The ophthalmologists also gave a detailed briefing to the opposition leaders and Khan’s personal physicians for about an hour and a half, according to the sources.

Earlier, a team of medical experts reached Adiala Jail, including staff from PIMS, Shifa, and Holy Family ambulances, which carried medical equipment and medicines to conduct a detailed examination of Imran Khan’s eye.

Imran Khan’s eyesight condition

The report stated that the central macular thickness has reduced from 550 to 350, which is a significant improvement, adding that the vision of the affected right eye has improved from 6/36 to 6/9, which is satisfactory at the current stage.

“Without glasses, the vision of the right eye is recorded as 6/24 and the left eye as 6/9. With glasses, the right eye is 6/9 while the left eye has become 6/6,” the medical report added.

The medical board has also recommended future treatment and medicines in the report.

As per the details, doctors have instructed to give Nivanac eye drops twice daily for both eyes and to continue Co-Suppress eye drops twice daily for the right eye only.

Furthermore, jail authorities have been instructed to provide Sustanon Ultra eye drops to Imran Khan three times a day for both eyes and suggested giving the second dose of anti-VEGF injection as per the schedule.

“Instructions to do the FFA test after completion of OCT angiography and anti-VEGF for further diagnosis,” it added.

After the medical board visited Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar Khan and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas arrived at PIMS, and experts gave a detailed briefing to them.

Imran Khan’s personal physicians, Dr. Asim Yousaf and Dr. Khurram Mirza, were also briefed over the phone, the report said.

Party leaders and personal doctors express complete satisfaction and confidence in the ongoing treatment and follow-up plan. The medical check-up report of the PTI founder was released with the signatures of both doctors.
