ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan is likely to be shifted from Adiala Jail to Shifa International Hospital today following a Supreme Court order, Geo News reported.
Sources said that security and other necessary arrangements for the transfer of the incarcerated PTI founder to the hospital have been completed.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Supreme Court had directed the concerned authorities to shift Imran Khan to Shifa International Hospital within two days for a complete medical examination and treatment.
Meanwhile, responding to questions, Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar said there was still time until midnight to comply with the court’s order.
Tarar added that the matter was the responsibility of the Islamabad administration and that the relevant authorities were making the necessary arrangements.
Earlier today, the Supreme Court registrar’s office returned a review petition filed by the federal government, through the Islamabad Chief Commissioner, against its order of shifting Khan to Shifa Hospital, citing incomplete paper books as the reason.
