ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders, including party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan, Arif Naqvi, Tariq Rahim, Tariq Shafiq, Hamid Zaman, and others, have been accused of receiving illegal foreign funding, sources said.

The authorities have accused PTI leaders of illegally receiving foreign funding worth $2.1 million.

The Banking Court in Islamabad has granted the FIA two days to submit the challan. The prosecutor said that letters have been written to the concerned countries seeking their opinion.

The court observed that the case has been pending since 2022 and that no serious interest has been taken so far. The hearing has been adjourned until February 4.
