ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The government has claimed that imports of petroleum products for March and April have been ensured. The stock of fuel products in the country is satisfactory, and the oil supply chain is also completely stable.

A meeting of the Cabinet Committee was held under the chairmanship of the Finance Minister to review the energy supply situation in Pakistan and global trends due to the war in the Middle East.

The meeting, chaired by the Finance Minister, was informed that cooperation with friendly countries including Saudi Arabia, for oil supply is ongoing.

The meeting was informed that the stock of petrol and diesel in the country is satisfactory. The supply chain is completely stable. Imports of petrol for March and April have also been ensured. While refineries are continuing production as usual.

The briefing was informed that a close watch is being kept on oil prices in the global market. The government is reviewing the difference between global and local prices. Precautionary measures are being taken to avoid disruption in the energy supply. Cooperation with friendly countries including Saudi Arabia, for oil supply is ongoing.

Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb expressed his determination to ensure an uninterrupted supply of petrol at all costs. He said energy security and market stability are the top priorities of the government.
