RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Inspector General of Police (IGP) Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Rana Abdul Jabbar, visited Rawalakot and paid his respects to Shaheed Constable Tariq Bashir, who was martyred in the line of duty.
The IG Police laid flowers on the grave and offered Fateha prayers for the martyr’s highest ranks.
Rana Abdul Jabbar praised Shaheed Tariq Bashir’s sacrifice, saying he attained martyrdom while completing a great mission to protect the state and maintain peace. The IG Police highlighted evidence of the terrorists’ involvement in unlawful activities, unrest, and previous police martyrdom.
He revealed that the terrorists, including young Zarnoosh and his companions, had contacts with Dr. Abdul Rauf in Afghanistan, further solidifying the evidence against them.
He specifically mentioned the presence of the latest Kalashnikovs, bullets, and suicide jackets, including one worn by Ulfat, a resident of Mandi Bahauddin, who was previously declared dead.
Furthermore, the top AJK cop met the children and brothers of the martyr, offering condolences and support. He also visited the family of Fahim Ahmed Constable, who was martyred in an accident, and offered his condolences, praying for the martyr’s high rank.
The IG Police prayed for the martyrs of the police, saying, “May Allah Almighty elevate the ranks of the martyrs of the police and grant complete health to the injured, Amen.”
On this occasion, Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police Region Poonch, Sardar Zaheer Ahmed, SSP Poonch Muhammad Riaz Mughal were also with him.
