ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released its latest Test player rankings, with several players making notable movements in the bowling and batting charts.
England’s Ollie Robinson climbed six places to reach a career-best fifth position in the Test bowling rankings. England’s Josh Tongue also made significant progress, moving up four places to 14th, while Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas jumped an impressive 10 places to 16th.
Australia’s Mitchell Starc retained the top spot among Test bowlers. In the Test batting rankings, England’s Harry Brook continues to lead the chart. Australia’s Steve Smith remains second, while England’s veteran batter Joe Root holds third place.
Pakistan also saw positive movement among its players. Mohammad Ali climbed 11 places to 81st in the Test bowling rankings, while Saud Shakeel made a major jump of 15 places to reach 18th among Test batters.
The latest rankings highlight upward movement for several Pakistan players as they continue to strengthen their positions on the international Test stage.
