ISLAMABAD (Kashmir Digital): Google has debuted Google Wallet, a mobile payment service, in Pakistan. The app allows users to make payments online or in-app purchases as well as in-person contactless payments through their mobile devices.
Users only need to download and set up the mobile app on their devices with the relevant and permissible credit or debit card from the Play Store to use Google Wallet.
How to use Google Wallet in Pakistan
The setup is easy and consists of two options: Google Wallet is automatically populated with users‘ saved credit or debit cards, or new credit and debit cards can be added manually per the on-screen prompts.
From there, they could make contactless payments wherever accepted, and some of their cards would be tokenized for those secure payments.
Supported Banks
In Pakistan, Google Wallet supports bank cards from Bank AlFalah, Bank of Punjab, Faysal Bank, HBL, Jazzcash, Meezan Bank, and UBL.
Such users with these bank cards can add them to Google Wallet to pay online, command in-app payments, or settle payments in physical settings using their Android phones or Wear OS devices.
Apple and other assorted bank cards, such as Allied Bank, Easypaisa Digital Bank, JS Bank, and Zindigi, will soon be available to Google Wallet.
It‘ll also see integration with online merchants such as Onic, Gul Ahmed, and Sana Safinaz, allowing seamless payments within Google Pay.
