BAGH (Kashmir English): Heavy rains caused landslides at various points in Azad Kashmir’s Bagh district, affecting houses, cattle sheds, and road infrastructure.
Several roads were closed while there were no reports of casualties.
According to details, in Nikki Keer village, a house was completely destroyed by landslide, but the family members remained safe.
In Upper Seri Avera, Roshan Mohalla, a mosque was destroyed due to heavy rain, and cattle died after being buried under collapsed cattle shed.
At Poth Paniali also, a house collapsed, but fortunately, there were no casualties. The road connecting Jheer Ghaniabad to Malot is completely closed due to landslide.
At Pas Jhoola, traffic is suspended due to large cracks at four points.
Thub Paniali Road at Khara Sangra was closed due to a landslide but was later restored. The local residents have appealed to the district administration and rescue agencies to take immediate action, restore the closed roads, and help out the affected families.
