MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): The residents of Azad Jammu and Kashmir have been facing extreme difficulties as heavy rainfall continues across the region, causing severe damage to people, buildings, and livestock.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued instructions to the citizens to take precautionary measures.
According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rains and windstorms will continue in various places of Kashmir, Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan from today.
During this, there is a possibility of flooding in rivers and canals in some areas, and water accumulation in low-lying areas.
Earlier, SDMA issued a flood warning as the water from rain collected in the river, causing water levels to rise. Whereas the Prime Minister of AJK has ordered SDMA and rescue officials to remain alert during this difficult time.
