Hajj flights to begin on THIS date, pilgrims to be transported via 468 flights

ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued Hajj flights schedule as pilgrims will be transported to the holy land via 468 flights.

On Wednesday, it said that visa issuance has been completed, while Hajj flights will begin on April 18.

The government has issued visas to 120,000 pilgrims selected under the government scheme. After crossing all deadlines set by the Saudi government ahead of time, the Hajj operation from Pakistan will officially begin on April 18, and this departure process will continue uninterrupted until May 21.

According to officials of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, extraordinary speed has been shown in Hajj arrangements this year, as a result of which complex stages such as accommodation in Makkah and Madinah, allotment of Maktab, and transportation were finalised immediately after the completion of the biometric process by February 17.

The simultaneous completion of the visa process and the release of the Hajj flight schedule on Wednesday indicates that the Pakistan Hajj Mission has completed all administrative matters in record time according to the established procedures of Saudi Arabia.

Official Hajj scheme

According to the schedule, pilgrims will be transported to the holy land from Pakistan via 468 flights under the official Hajj scheme.

Flights will depart from Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, and Multan on April 18. Under the official scheme, 119,000 pilgrims will be taken from Pakistan to Madinah and Makkah. Under the official scheme, 67,230 male pilgrims will be transported to Saudi Arabia. Under the official scheme, 51,846 female pilgrims will go to the holy land.

On the first day of the Hajj operation, pilgrims will be transported to Madinah via four flights. Hajj flights for Jeddah will begin on May 4.

The first long Hajj flight for Madinah will depart on May 7. The last Hajj flight from Pakistan will depart on May 21.

The operation to transport Hajj pilgrims to the holy land will continue for 34 days. In the first 15 days of the Hajj flights, pilgrims will be transported to Madinah.

As many as 186 flights will be operated for Madinah and 282 for Jeddah.

PIA, Airblue, AirSial, and Saudi Airlines are participating in the Hajj operation. Hajj flights will be operated from eight cities in Pakistan.

As many as 129 flights will depart from Islamabad, 124 from Karachi, and 104 from Lahore; 18 flights will depart from Quetta, 34 from Multan, and 26 from Sialkot.

Similarly, 23 Hajj flights will depart from Faisalabad and five from Sukkur will take pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

For the convenience of Hajj pilgrims, the Ministry has further activated the digital system and instructed all pilgrims to use the “Pak Hajj 2026” mobile app to get information about their flight, departure time, and relevant airport.

This app will not only provide the latest flight status but will also be the sole authentic source for accommodation locations in Makkah and Madinah and other necessary announcements.

In addition, all details have also been made available on the Ministry’s official website. The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged pilgrims to use the website and mobile app in preparation for the Hajj journey so that they can be informed in a timely manner of any future training programs or possible changes in the schedule.
