ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Ministry of Religious Affairs has warned pilgrims that their Hajj applications under the government scheme will be cancelled if they fail to pay the second installment of dues by the prescribed deadline.

The ministry’s spokesperson said the collection of the second installment is underway through a digital portal, with 51,500 pilgrims having completed their payments so far.

According to the spokesperson, the government has collected Rs32.60 billion in second-installment payments to date.

Of the pilgrims who have paid, 26,000 made their payments through 1LINK, while 2,126 used bank cards. Another 23,200 pilgrims deposited their dues in cash through bank challans.

The ministry has urged applicants to meet the payment deadline to avoid cancellation of their Hajj applications.
