DUBAI (Kashmir English): The ICC T20 World Cup 2026 groups and details of the Pakistan-India match have been revealed.
The ICC T20 World Cup will be played from February 7 to March 8, and the schedule for which will be officially announced on November 25.
According to media reports, 20 teams will be divided into 4 groups of 5 teams each for the ICC T20 World Cup 2026
The top 2 teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8 stage, while the teams of Pakistan and India will be included in one group, where the match will be held on February 15 in Colombo.
The Pakistan and India group is likely to have the Netherlands, Namibia, and the USA, while the group of co-hosts Sri Lanka includes Australia, Zimbabwe, Ireland, and Oman.
Apart from this, England, West Indies, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Italy are likely to be in one group, while South Africa, New Zealand, Afghanistan, UAE, and Canada are likely to be in one group.
According to media reports, matches in India will be played in Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Delhi, and Ahmedabad.
Matches in Sri Lanka will be played in Colombo and Kandy, while Pakistan will play their matches in Sri Lanka.
The Indian city of Ahmedabad has been selected for the final; however, if Pakistan reaches the final, the match will be in Colombo.
Mumbai and Kolkata have been selected for the semi-finals, and the venues will depend on the semi-finalist teams.
If Pakistan reaches the semi-finals, the semi-finals will be played in Sri Lanka.
