ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The government has announced a major reduction in LPG price at the start of the new financial year.
OGRA has issued a notification for the reduction in LPG price. According to the notification, the per kg price of LPG has been reduced by Rs. 67.33, after which the new price of LPG per kg has become Rs. 241.43.

According to the notification, the 11.8 kg domestic cylinder of LPG has been made cheaper by Rs. 794.5, the new price of the 11.8 kg domestic cylinder of LPG has become Rs. 2848.91.
According to the notification, the new prices of LPG will be applicable for July.
Earlier, experts stated that in case of improvement in the Middle East situation and the end of international sanctions, a further reduction in gas prices is expected if LPG is imported from Iran.
Experts say that imports of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) from Iran will increase from 1,250,000 tons to 2,000,000 tons, and the price of LPG per kg will come down to the level of Rs. 210.
They said that annually a total of 1,400,000 tons of LPG is imported in the country, of which 250,000 tons come via sea routes while the remaining 1,250,000 tons of LPG is imported through three border routes adjacent to Iran.
