ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has released an official list of certified Umrah companies in a bid to protect Umrah pilgrims from fraudulent practices.
Ministry of Religious Affairs has shared a list of 113 authorized Umrah operators, valid for the Islamic year 1447 Hijri.
The list is available on the ministry’s official website, where intending pilgrims can verify company details before taking a decision.
According to the officials, the step is aimed to reduce the risk of exploitation by unauthorized agents and provide pilgrims with trusted options.
Guidelines for Umrah pilgrims
The ministry has advised Umrah pilgrims to carefully verify operators through its website before making bookings.
It said all payments should be deposited into the certified company’s bank account. Pilgrims must also ensure they receive both a payment receipt and a copy of the agreement from the company.
