MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Due to the ongoing tension between Pakistan and India, the Medical Superintendents of all hospitals and district officers are directed to establish volunteer committees at the level of each medical center.
This development aims to involve young people and volunteers who are interested in volunteer service and providing better medical facilities to the public in the larger national interest, because of the current serious situation in the country.
In a notification issued by the Health Ministry of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a 50-member committee should be formed at the level of all District Headquarters Hospitals.
Additionally, a 40-member committee should be formed at the level of all THQ hospitals. A 20-member committee should be formed at the level of all BHUS.
Whereas, a 10-member committee should be formed at the level of all Civil Dispensaries/FAPS and a 30-member committee should be formed at the level of all RHCS.
The above committees should consist of volunteers at the community level, who will render their services voluntarily when required.
The phone numbers of the committee members should also be obtained, and the composition of the committees should be shared with the management.
