ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The federal government has decided to refund the Hajj registration money deposited by applicants who were unable to continue with the pilgrimage process due to medical conditions or other justified reasons.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has issued official instructions for the refund process. As per the policy, such pilgrims or their relatives can claim reimbursement, subject to certain conditions.
Applicants have to provide a photocopy of their national identity card, original payment voucher of the initial installment paid to the bank, and supporting medical reports. If the applicant is deceased, a death certificate is also needed.
Refund applications should be made in writing to the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Accounts Officer, together with all supporting documents for verification.
