ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): Gold prices in Pakistan have witnessed a significant decrease of Rs 24,300 in the domestic market on Thursday, reaching below Rs500,000 after many days.
According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola has reached Rs 499,462. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold has plunged by Rs 20,833 to Rs 428,208.
The prices have also decreased in the international bullion market, with gold per ounce increasing by $ 243 to $ 4,767. The price of silver has also declined by Rs 760 per tola to Rs 7,734.

Earlier on March 18, the price of 24 karat per tola gold remained unchanged at Rs 523,762, All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association said.
It said that the price of 10 grams of gold also remained constant at Rs 449,041, while 10 grams of 22 karat gold was traded at Rs 411,635 with no change.
The price of per tola silver decreased by Rs 75 to Rs 8,494 from Rs 8,569, whereas that of 10 grams silver went down by Rs 64 to Rs 7,282 from Rs 7,346.
The price of gold in the international market remained unchanged at $5,010, while silver decreased by $0.75 to $80.10 from $80.85, the association added.
