ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): After touching a historic high, the gold prices in Pakistan have decreased by thousands of rupees on Friday, following a downturn in the international market.

According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in the country’s bullion markets today decreased by Rs 4,578, reaching from Rs 425,178 to Rs 420,600 per tola.

Similarly, the rate for 10 grams declined by Rs3,924 to Rs360,597 from Rs 360,597.

The decline came after the steady trend on Thursday, where the price remained at Rs425,178 per tola.

Gold prices in international bullion markets also fell by $44 per ounce, after which gold was priced at $3,995.

On the other hand, silver prices in domestic markets increased. Silver per tola increased by Rs34 to Rs5,100, while the price of 10 grams of silver increased by Rs29.93 to Rs4,372.

Silver prices also increased in the global market, after which the price of silver per ounce remained $50.13 per ounce.
