Free medical camp brings healthcare to Hattian Bala amid border tensions

HATTIAN BALA (Kashmir English): A two-day free medical camp was organized by AJK Health Department on Friday at the District Headquarters Hospital in Hattian Bala, an area along the Line of Control (LoC).

According to details, the medical camp was set up in collaboration with the Pakistan Army, Shifa International Hospital Islamabad, the Health Department of Azad Kashmir, and the Population Welfare Department, where hundreds of patients were examined and given free medicines.

Local people, speaking to Kashmir Digital, said that they have been provided with modern facilities here, for which they were grateful to the Pakistan Army.

A patient said that the check-up was done in an excellent manner, tests were conducted, and medicines were also provided free of cost.

The team of doctors consisted specialists from various fields, including cardiology who checked up patients and provided medicines.

Medical camp

The doctors, speaking to Kashmir Digital, said that with the cooperation of the Pakistan Army, they have come to provide excellent facilities to the people along the LoC.

Hundreds of patients were checked up at the medical camp, a large number of whom were women. The medical camp will continue today (Saturday).
