BAGH, AJK (Kashmir English): A free eye camp will be held at Mallot in Bagh district of Azad Kashmir in collaboration with Al-Shifa Eye Hospital Muzaffarabad on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 9am to 2pm.
People can get registered to avail this free facility at Al-Shifa Eye Trust Hospital Muzaffarabad.
Under the patronage of Sardar Khurshid Chughtai, a renowned social figure, Al-Shifa Eye Hospital Muzaffarabad will provide free treatment, free lenses, and free operations to patients.
The camp is being organized after locals including Qari Muhammad Altaf, and councilor Mallot Sardar Jahangir made efforts in this regard.
Al-Shifa Centre for Community Ophthalmology (ACCO) is delivering quality eye care at the door step of the community in rural and underserved population.
ACCO runs one of the widest spread outreach programs for the prevention of blindness in country.
Free eye camps
The highlights of the initiative are school screening program, free eye camps, awareness and primary eye care sessions for students and serving general public in free eye camping.
ACCO has the capacity to establish 15-18 eye screening camps in a month while School Screening team conducts screening 5-6 days a week. The outreach program has sufficient and reliable resources for establishing camps at location indicated by sponsor/donor.
