LEEPA VALLEY (Kashmir English): In a heartening initiative for public welfare, the Pakistan Army organised a free Army medical camp in Tehsil Khurshidabad’s village Sher Pur, offering essential healthcare services to the local population.

Assistant Commissioner Khurshidabad, Raja Ayaz Ahmed Nisar, along with Commanding Officer Colonel Asad Khan Niazi, Dr Ikram (SNC), military officers, civil society representatives, and members of the Village Defence Committee (VDC), visited the camp to oversee the arrangements and meet with the patients.

Held with the support of the Pakistan Army, the free Army medical camp brought much-needed medical services to this distant and underdeveloped area. During the visit, Assistant Commissioner Raja Ayaz Ahmed Nisar interacted with the attending patients, inquiring about their well-being and their impressions of the healthcare facilities provided.

He also engaged in detailed discussions with the VDC members and other locals about public responsibilities in the current national context. Appreciating the efforts, he thanked the visiting doctors and the Pakistan Army’s local unit for setting up the camp, which not only provided free medical consultations but also distributed free medicines to the residents at their doorstep.

In a similar effort, another free Army medical camp was held in Leepa Valley under the joint supervision of the Pakistan Army and Ali Medical Institute Muzaffarabad. The camp was set up at Major Aziz Shaheed Army Public School Leepa, where doctors specialising in various fields participated and provided check-ups to hundreds of patients from across the valley’s remote areas.

The Leepa Valley free Army medical camp ensured that patients received free check-ups and necessary medications. The local community expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Pakistan Army, recognising their continuous dedication to public service in the region. Residents shared that the Pakistan Army has always been at the forefront of serving the people of Leepa Valley and providing medical assistance in times of need.
