QUETTA (Kashmir English): At least four militants of Balochistan Liberation Army (Fitnah-ul-Hindustan) have been eliminated by the Pakistan security forces in close quaters engagement in the rugged terrain surrounding the attack site, according  to security sources.

The operation also led to the recovery of arms, ammunition and BLA flags, signalling the involvement of the banned militant group.

Aviation unit were placed on stand by to support ground forces and respond to any further threats in the area.

In a brazen act of terrorism, a bus carrying artist was targeted on the Quetta-karachi highway, sparking a swift and forceful response from Pakistan security forces.

The cowardly act, believed to be carried out by militants associated with the banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), aimed to disrupt peace and target cultural ambassadors of the nation.

As soon the incident occurred, Pakistan special forces launched a high alert counter-operation in the region.

Authorities have called the operation as “decisive and ongoing,” adding that no effort will be spared to ensure residents’ safety, particularly those who contribute to the country’s culture and identity.

“This attack is not just an assault on innocent people, but on Pakistan’s soul,” one official added. “Our response will be unwavering.”
