ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): The Foreign Office has rejected the Indian statement regarding the temple in Ada Siraj, Narowal, saying that the temple was affected by torrential rain.
Foreign Office spokesperson Sajjad Haider Khan has said that Pakistan clearly rejects the Indian statement on the Narowal temple; the Indian Ministry of External Affairs’ statement is false and for political gain.
The spokesperson said that contrary to the Indian false propaganda, the temple was damaged due to torrential rain on July 21, 2026; the local administration has already conducted a survey and restoration measures have been initiated.
Sajjad Haider Khan said that it is shameful that India is distorting the facts and resorting to cheap gimmicks. Such attempts to deliberately distort the facts cannot divert attention from the very poor record of systematic exploitation of minorities and state-sponsored attacks on their places of worship in India.
The Foreign Office has said that the world is well aware of the use of Hindutva ideology as a weapon against minorities, and it should hold the Indian leadership accountable for the ongoing atrocities against the Muslim, Sikh and Christian communities.
