MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Food Authority Muzaffarabad has taken action against sellers of adulterated milk.
Samples were collected from milk shops located in Chhattar, Upper Chhattar, and Garhi Pan and tested using a mobile food testing laboratory.

According to details, Assistant Food Safety Officer Qazi Shafiq-ur-Rehman, along with the Food Authority team, inspected milk shops, collected samples, and conducted on-the-spot testing with the help of a mobile food testing laboratory.
In light of the laboratory report, water adulteration was found in the milk, upon which the Food Authority Muzaffarabad took action against the concerned food business operators.
District Food Controller Muzaffarabad Abrar Ahmed Mir, commenting on the action, said that adulteration in a basic and daily-use item like milk will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Providing pure and quality milk to the public is the primary responsibility of the Food Authority, and no stone will be left unturned to achieve this goal, he added.
He said that the Food Authority Act 2017 and Pure Food Regulations 2019 will be strictly enforced, and a zero-tolerance policy will be adopted against those who adulterate milk or other food items.
Citizens are also requested to report any complaints directly to the Food Authority’s helpline number 1280 so that immediate action could be taken.
