WASHINGTON (Kashmir English): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, during his official visit to the United States, has reaffirmed that Pakistan has always been at the forefront in the global fight against terrorism. While speaking to leading scholars, U.S. think tanks, strategic experts, and members of the international media in Washington, he highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices and active role in ensuring global peace and security.
According to ISPR, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with key figures to share Pakistan’s strategic vision and discuss regional and global security matters. He stated that Pakistan has made enormous human and economic sacrifices in the war on terror and continues to take a firm stance against extremism.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir also shed light on Pakistan’s exceptional capabilities and stated that some regional actors are using terrorism as a tool of hybrid warfare. Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment, he said the country has consistently been a frontline state in combating terrorism.
According to ISPR, the Field Marshal’s U.S. visit includes meetings with think tanks and strategic policy representatives. The interactions provided an opportunity to better understand Pakistan’s strategic vision.
In Washington, General Munir engaged in dialogue with prominent scholars, analysts, policy experts, and members of global media organisations, where he presented Pakistan’s principled stance on regional and international matters.
He also highlighted Pakistan’s exceptional potential and invited international partners to explore collaboration opportunities across various sectors, including IT, agriculture, and mineral resources.
He assured that Pakistan will remain proactive in reducing regional tensions and building a cooperative security framework that benefits all stakeholders.
His engagement also included discussions with Pakistan’s mission to the United Nations and with prominent figures such as Saima Saleem. The meetings were seen as a step toward strengthening diplomatic ties and projecting Pakistan’s commitment to regional stability and global partnerships.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir further emphasised that Pakistan’s strategic efforts aim not only at national defence but also at contributing to international peace and cooperation. He added that the country remains dedicated to fighting terrorism in all forms and ensuring peace through responsible engagement with global allies.
