Electricity Operation Division II inaugurated in Bhimber

BHIMBER (Kashmir English): Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Chaudhry Anwarul Haq has inaugurated the Electricity Operation Division II in Bhimber on Monday, which will lower the electricity load on already operational Electricity Operation Division I.

Taking on the occasion, AJK PM Chaudhry said that the feeder in Bhimber’s Samahni Tehsil will be completed before Ramadan and demanded the public to identify electricity thieves.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Prime Minister Azad Jammu and Kashmir said he worked 18 to 20 hours daily to serve the people of Azad Kashmir. The major work includes historic subsidies on electricity and flour to the people, which is unparalleled anywhere else, he said.

He added that through the Social Protection Welfare Program, a reasonable amount will be given monthly to the downtrodden and helpless sections of society so that they can live their lives with dignity.

Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said that the incumbent government made recruitments through NTS and PSC in a transparent and meritorious manner, ensured attendance through biometrics, and took action against tax evaders, timber mafia, and cigarette mafia.

Further highlighting his government’s project, Haq noted that the government has established a Zakat Fund and Bhimber University along with providing 200 units of free electricity in mosques, and ensured the supremacy of the constitution and law.

“The university and the Danish School in Bhimber are a gift for the people. The health, justice, and education systems have improved during our government,” Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said.

The Prime Minister said that the current government also took immediate action on projects pending for years and restarted work with the cooperation of the federation.

“The development and welfare work is going on in all the constituencies of Azad Kashmir including the Bhimber without any discrimination, things have been rationalized,” he said on the occasion.

The Azad Kashmir premier announced a grand operation against electricity thieves in Azad Kashmir and steps have been taken in terms of electricity supply and demand.

Senior Minister Col. (retd) Waqar Ahmed Noor, Chaudhry Arshad Hussain, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq and others were also present on the occasion.
