Dry weather expected across Kashmir, heat wave to continue over coming days

MIRPUR (Kashmir English): The Meteorological experts have predicted general dry weather conditions at both sides of the Line of Control across Jammu and Kashmir over the coming days.

There are, however, brief chances of light rain or thundershowers at isolated places in Azad Kashmir and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to experts, April 27 (today) is expected to remain largely dry, though a brief spell of light rain or thundershowers may occur towards the afternoon at isolated locations.

Dry weather from April 28-30

From April 28 to April 30, and continuing into May 1, the weather is likely to stay dry across the region.

However, between May 2 and May 3, there is a possibility of light rain at some isolated places.

Met Centre has, meanwhile, urged people to strictly follow administrative and traffic advisories during the coming days.

The department has also cautioned of generally hot and dry weather conditions over the plain terrain of ground parts of the State.

General public have been advised to stay hydrated by drinking water and to avoid stepping outdoor or working in open areas during peak heat hours between 12 noon and 3 pm.
