MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Professor Dr. Anila Kamal has been appointed the Vice Chancellor of Women University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bagh, the President AJK office said in a statement.
According to the statement, President Azad Kashmir and university chancellor Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry conducted the interviews of three candidates, Professor Dr. Anila Kamal, Professor Dr. Ayesha Sohail, and Professor Dr. Shahid Ahmed Khan.
The interviews were conducted as per the order of merit sent by the Senate of Women University of AJK Bagh, the statement added.
After that, the President gave final approval to the first-ranked candidate, Professor Dr. Anila Kamal, as Vice Chancellor of Women University of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Bagh.
Earlier this month, the Senate search committee of the university sent three names to the President for the post of the university’s vice chancellor.
Sources said that former Vice Chancellor Dr. Abdul Hameed Pirzada failed to make it to the top three despite intensive lobbying.
