District Council Bhimber approves Rs210 million budget with unanimous support

BHIMBER (Kashmir English): The District Council Bhimber held its Budget session on Monday under the leadership of Chairman Dr. Muhammad Yousaf Chaudhry, where a budget of over Rs 210 million was presented and approved with full consensus from all members.

The meeting began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Council Member Raja Shafiq, followed by a Naat by Assistant Engineer Tabarak Hussain. Chief Officer Raja Hafeez ur Rehman performed the duties of stage secretary during the session.

Chairman Dr. Yousaf Chaudhry presented the Budget totaling Rs 210,792,680, which was met with appreciation and approval from all attending members. The Chairman was praised not only for the strong and balanced Budget but also for the fair and equal distribution of development funds among all District Council members.

Members also expressed deep gratitude to the Government of Azad Jammu and Kashmir for providing the grant-in-aid and appreciated the timely release and use of funds by the Chairman and Chief Officer.

During the session, members passed a resolution honoring the success of Operation Ma’arka-e-Haq, paying tribute to the Government of Pakistan and Pakistan Army, especially Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir.

The session also included expressions of solidarity with Muslim nations and communities suffering across the globe, especially in Kashmir, Palestine, and Iran. The members offered prayers for the martyrs of these regions and also remembered those who lost their lives in recent floods in Pakistan.

Notable participants in the Budget session included Raja Farooq, Raja Pervez Iqbal, Chaudhry Khalid Mehmood, Chaudhry Muhammad Fazil, Raja Shahid Raza, Chaudhry Jabbar Basheer, Chaudhry Naseer Ahmed, Raja Faheem Akhtar, Chaudhry Nosherwan Jameel, Malik Riyasat, Chaudhry Abrar ul Haq, and female members Bushra Khalid, Shazia Shaukat, and Furwah Rani, among others.

The Budget session concluded with a strong sense of unity, development focus, and shared commitment to the welfare of the people of Bhimber.
