RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, on Thursday debunked the Indian military’s false-flag operation staged in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Addressing a press conference, the military spokesperson said that India’s claim of killing a terrorist linked to last year’s Pahalgam attack in an operation in IIOJK’s Kokernag area was false.
Lt Gen Sharif began with a timeline of the ‘false flag’ operation, showing that the entire scenario began on the night of Sept 29.
He said that on Sept 29, the Indian military’s Chinar Corps, in a post on X, said that an intelligence-based operation was conducted in the general area of Korag, Yousmarg.
“Later on the morning of Sept 30, the Chinar Corps posted that the Indian forces had found the body of a Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorist, identified as Mohammad Asif alias Hashim Moosa,” DG ISPR said.
The general further said that later in the day, the Indian media outlet ANI and the government’s Home Affairs department declared the killed militant as an ex-Pakistani SSG soldier, Muhammad Asif.
