ISLAMABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has departed from Pakistan to attend the Coordination Meeting of Arab-Islamic Foreign Ministers, where the Gaza ceasefire deal will be discussed.
Foreign ministers of 8 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the UAE, Indonesia, Jordan, and Egypt, will participate in the meeting, whereas Deputy PM Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan.
This meeting is being held to decide on a joint strategy regarding the implementation of the ceasefire and the provision of humanitarian aid.
The meeting will also discuss the obstacles in the provision of aid to Gaza and Israel’s failure to fulfill its promises of humanitarian aid.
According to Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi, Pakistan and 7 Arab Islamic countries have been involved in the efforts for a Gaza peace agreement. Pakistan will emphasize the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Istanbul meeting.
The spokesperson said that Pakistan will demand a complete Israeli withdrawal from the occupied Palestinian territories, especially Gaza.
Pakistan will also emphasize the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from the occupied Palestinian territories, especially Gaza, and the provision of unhindered humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people, as well as the reconstruction of Gaza.
The Foreign Office said that Pakistan will also emphasize the need for joint efforts for the establishment of an independent, viable, and geographically contiguous Palestinian state, with Jerusalem as its capital, and in accordance with the pre-1967 borders, as clarified in UN resolutions and the Arab Peace Plan.
Pakistan will reiterate its commitment that it has been a participant in the past and will continue to play a consistent role in the struggle for the restoration of peace, justice, and a dignified life for the Palestinian people and for their right to self-determination.
The Foreign Office spokesperson said that the capital of the Palestinian state should be Al-Quds Al-Sharif. Pakistan is committed to the right of self-determination of the Palestinian people and the restoration of their dignity and justice.
It should be remembered that Israel is continuing to violate the ceasefire agreement in Gaza. So far, 236 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli violations since the ceasefire, while 600 have been injured. Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu says that we will attack Gaza without informing the US.
