RAWALPINDI (Kashmir English): The Director General of Inter Service Public Relations, DG ISPR Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, while holding a press conference, said that the Defense of Forces Headquarters has been launched, which will provide complete awareness on war matters.
He said that the role of warfare has changed, and this headquarters is essential for success. General Ahmed Sharif made it clear that there should be no political ambiguity in this matter now.
DG ISPR said that the Pakistani Armed Forces do not represent any region, language, religion, or political ideology. They include people from every province, creed, and background of Pakistan, and it does not follow the agenda of any political party.
He said that the purpose of the press conference was to raise awareness about the threats to internal security. General Ahmed Sharif said that some individuals consider their own self and their desires higher than the state, and their frustration increases to such an extent that they become a threat to national security.
He said that such a narrative will not be allowed that is against the security and defense forces. He gave an example and said that some people are making a narrative against the Pakistan Army, and this narrative is being spread through Indian and Afghan media.
He said that two days ago, an individual tweeted, after which the Indian and Afghan media took this narrative forward.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry emphasized that the Pakistani Armed Forces are the protectors of the country, and it is important to keep the army away from politics.
He warned that foreign media and some anonymous social media accounts are spreading narratives against the country’s security and the army.
The DG ISPR further said that the Pakistan Army will remain engaged in the security of the country and serving the people with its responsibilities and will not tolerate any kind of sedition or chaos.
