DOHA (Kashmir English): Pakistani Snooker Champion Muhammad Asif wins his first match in the IBSF World Snooker Championship.
According to reports, world champion Muhammad Asif defeated his opponent, Singapore’s Chan Keng Kwang, 0-4 after an easy match in the IBSF World Snooker Championship.
Muhammad Asif’s winning frame scores were 9-89, 44-73, 48-58, and 13-83.
However, the other national cueist and World Under-17 Champion Muhammad Hasnain lost to Hong Kong’s Tam Yun Fung by a tough frame score of 4-3.
Fung’s winning frame scores were 73-38, 42-77, 59-52, 26-70, 79-26, 47-80, and 4-116. During the match, the winner also played a century break in the seventh frame.
In the first phase of the championship, 48 players have been divided into 12 groups.
After the league round, 2 players from each group will make it to the knockout round.
