All crushing plants of Shawai Nala have been closed by the Supreme Court of AJK. The court’s intervention is probably because of environmental and public safety concerns and these operations should be by the rules. Stone-crushing plants are the backbone of AJK’s construction industry, providing stones for roads, buildings and other infrastructure projects. But their environmental impact has sparked more regulatory action.
This latest step shows that the government and courts are getting tough on unregulated industrial activities. To ensure these operations are in line with the law, the court’s intervention is most likely because of environmental and public safety concerns. Crushing Plants in AJK Stone-crushing plants are essential for AJK’s construction sector, providing stones for infrastructure projects like buildings and roads.
However, more regulatory action has been taken in response to their environmental impact. This latest action shows that the government and courts are taking a harder stance against uncontrolled industrial activity. The authorities took swift action and implemented the court’s decision, sealing these plants. All the heavy machinery was completely immobilised and all operations were completely halted to prevent further activity.
The stone-crushing plants are usually linked to environmental and legal concerns, they are known to impact nearby infrastructure negatively by weakening the foundations and have been banned in AJK previously too.
