MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Like various parts of the country, the national vaccination campaign for prevention of cervical cancer among young women will begin in Azad Jammu and Kashmir today (September 15).
The national campaign for HPV vaccine cancer prevention will formally start from September 15 and will continue for 13 days and until Sept 27 to administer vaccine through intramuscular injection to the girls of the age of 9 to 14 years through the paramedical female staff.
Vaccine protects girls from cervical cancer
The doctors said that the HPV vaccine will be injected to the girls free of cost to protect them from a deadly disease like cervical cancer in the future.
The medical experts have urged parents to take their daughters to vaccination centers and schools. The doctors urged the people from all walks of life to participate in this national campaign, as this is a guarantee of protecting girls from diseases like cancer.
