MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Chief Justice Azad Kashmir Raja Saeed Akram Khan, Chairman Council of Islamic Ideology (CII) Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), has convened the meeting on Monday, April 7, 2025.
The 109th meeting, which will be the farewell meeting of the current council, was convened to review its three-year performance. The meeting will be presided over by the Chief Justice of Azad Kashmir, Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan.
The meeting, scheduled for 12:00 pm on Monday, will take place in the Conference Room of the Supreme Court Building, Muzaffarabad.
The meeting will be attended by esteemed members of the Council, including Mufti Syed Kifayat Hussain Naqvi, Maulana Saeed Yousaf Khan, Maulana Sahibzada Pir Muhammad Habib-ur-Rehman Mehboobi, Muhammad Idrees Tabassum, and Maulana Muhammad Altaf Hussain Saifi.
Moreover, Maulana Qazi Mahmood-ul-Hassan Ashraf, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Arif, Maulana Mufti Muhammad Hussain Chishti, Maulana Qari Muhammad Azam Arif, and secretaries to the government and other concerned authorities are also expected to participate.
Earlier, on February 18, Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan chaired the 108th meeting of the council in Mirpur, where members reviewed legal and educational policies, condemned human rights violations in Kashmir, and passed resolutions on regional conflicts.
The CII reviewed their past uncompleted work while also discussing changes to property transfer laws with educational policy amendments.
During the meeting, the council performed follow-ups on decisions regarding the Transfer of Property (Amendment) Act 2021 and the 2023-40 Education Policy. The education department presented to the council the different sections of the policy that focused on student character development.
