MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): A General hold-up, combing operation was conducted in Muzaffarabad on the instructions of SP Muzaffarabad Riaz Haider Bukhari.
According to the details, in the light of special instructions issued by SSP Muzaffarabad, a general hold-up was conducted to make security arrangements more effective across the district.
The operation aimed to take indiscriminate action against underage drivers, tinted windows, vehicles with non-standard number plates, vehicles with incorrect registration, motorcycles with non-valid driving licenses, one-wheelers, etc.
In addition to fines, several vehicles and motorcycles were confiscated. Vehicles and people were also checked and inspected with the help of modern devices.
Security was put on high alert in Muzaffarabad district, and additional personnel have been deployed at entry and exit points.
Strict checking and inspection are being carried out on all routes. Under EPP, Vehicles and persons are being checked, and hotel owners have been strictly instructed to ensure the entry of passengers staying in hotels, guesthouses, etc.
Police personnel have been deployed at various places in the district in civil parishes. Citizens are appealed to respect the law and cooperate with the police during the checking and immediately report any suspicious activity/persons to the local police station or Madagaar Center 15
