NEELUM (Kashmir English): A cloud burst in the Katha Piran stream of a suburban village in Neelum Valley caused the stream to turn into a flood-like situation.
According to initial reports, several shops along with residential houses near the Katha Piran stream have been hit by the flood.
Several cars and motorcycles parked near the Maingal stream were swept away by the water while multiple residential houses in Katha Piran Vaishrain were also damaged.
Due to the gushing water in the stream, people’s livestock were also swept away in the water.
District administration has reached the spot while a heavy contingent of Neelum police is also present at the scene.
As soon as the news of the cloud burst in Katha Piran stream was received, a crowd of people also gathered at the Shahkot bridge, the reports said. Traffic flow on the main Neelum highway is affected.
