MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Jhelum Bears have defeated Haveli Phoenix by 16 runs in the Chinar Supreme League quarter-final held in Muzaffarabad, securing a place in the semi-finals with strong performances in batting and bowling.
Jhelum Bears have qualified for the semi-finals of the Chinar Supreme League after securing a 16-run victory over Haveli Phoenix in a thrilling quarter-final match. As captain Waqas Hamdani led the Bears they managed both a strong batting display and reliable bowling performance which secured their advancement to the following round of the tournament.
With the initial toss favor, Jhelum Bears declared batting first to score an appropriate 83 runs throughout their eight-over limit. The team’s batting line scored 83 runs after Umair Rajput hit 42 runs from his 12 deliveries through strong aggression and accurate stroke-making. During the batting innings Bilal Rajput added useful runs while strengthening the team total to reach an impressive score.
The batting performance of Haveli Phoenix failed to match the necessary run rate which resulted in their score being restricted to sixty-six runs also known as a 16-run deficit for the target. Under Jhelum Bears’ excellent bowling lineup consisting of Haris Abbasi, Abrar Sadiq, Ahsan Kazmi, and Bilal Rajput the batting order of Haveli Phoenix failed to clear the required run rate to stop the opposition from winning. Jhelum Bears’ tight bowling control exerted constant pressure on Haveli Phoenix until the end of their batting. This strategy made it hard for Haveli Phoenix to establish powerful batting performances.
The strategic field decisions made by Captain Waqas Hamdani under his leadership directed Jhelum Bears toward victory by keeping the team in control of the match. The Haveli Phoenix batting team struggled to take control of the match because the bowlers performed their strategies successfully.
