Chicken, egg prices receive significant hike in Azad Kashmir

MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In a recent development, the chicken and egg prices in Azad Kashmir have been increased drastically, making it inaccessible to the public during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to the notification issued by the Deputy Commissioner Muzaffarabad, the price of live broiler chicken is fixed at Rs. 490 per kilogram.

In addition, breeder chicken meat is priced at Rs. 530 per kilo, while the selling rate of domestic chicken is Rs. 1050 per kg.

Golden chicken have been priced at Rs. 850 per kilogram in the Muzaffarabad district. Prices of eggs per dozen for eggs weighing 40-50 grams have been fixed at Rs. 278 and for those weighing 51-65 grams at Rs. 298.

According to the notification, these rates will come into effect today March 09, 2025.

Shopkeepers are advised to display the price control list at a visible space, maintaining a clean atmosphere at their designated stalls or shops.

Muzaffarabad vegetables, fruits rate

Additionally, the Deputy Commission Muzaffarabad has also approved and issued the rate list for vegetables and fruits across the Muzaffarabad district.
