MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain has taken over the additional charge of the Mangla Dam Housing Authority (MDHA) Director General.
After his additional appointment, Mukhtar Hussain instructed the employees to perform their duties properly.
The Director General reiterated that the five towns will be built on the lines of the Defense Housing Authority (DHA) for the affectees of Mangla Dam and will play his full role in solving their problems.
As per details, the housing authority had allocated 4757 kanals and 10 marla land to resettle 8080 people of Mirpur, Islamgarh, Chakswari, and Dadyal, where towns (Chakswari and Dadial).
The townships would be built on modern lines, and residents would have all the basic facilities of life available, including residential plots, parks, cemeteries, commercial centers, education, and health centers.
On this occasion, Deputy Director Estate Management Chaudhry Sajid Aslam, Deputy Director Building Controller Muhammad Saqib Hussain, Deputy Director Finance Saghir Hussain, Assistant Director Estate Management Raja Ali Asghar, and all the employees were present.
Earlier, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry directed the concerned officials of the Mangla Dam Housing Authority (MDHA) to issue allotment letters to sub-families of the Mangla Dam affectees.
While presiding over a meeting held in Mirpur on Tuesday to review progress on the resettlement plan of the sub-families of Mangla Dam affectees, Barrister Chaudhry stressed the need for continuing work under PC-1 in the townships at Chakswari and Dadyal.
On this occasion, the officials of Mangla Dam Housing Authority gave a detailed briefing to President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry regarding the resettlement of the sub-families of Mangla Dam affectees.
