RAWALAKOT (Kashmir English): Chairman Ulema-o-Mashaikh Council and Head of National Unity Council Azad Kashmir Allama Imtiaz Ahmed Siddiqui met Commissioner Poonch Division Masood-ur-Rehman along with a representative delegation to congratulate him on the performance of the district administration during the Indian aggression and war.
He said that the district administration provided relief to the victims of Indian aggression in general by establishing control rooms in all four districts of Poonch division and kept the public informed about the entire situation.
“This has boosted the morale of the people.” He said that the district administration kept all the volunteer service teams ready immediately after the Indian attacks.
The Chairman Ulema Mashaikh Council clarified that the Ulema Mashaikhs from all over Azad Kashmir have resolved to stand by the side of the Pakistani forces.
“With the spirit of service, our Madaris across Azad Kashmir are ready to offer voluntary services in any difficult situation,” he said.
The Chairman was accompanied by the Central General Secretary of Jamiat Ulema-e-Jammu and Kashmir, Khan Abdul Qayyum Khan, Qari Muhammad Azhar Siddiqui, Jamaat Ahle-Sunnah Allama Muzaffar Hayat, Allama Shoaib Qadri and others.

On this occasion, Commissioner Poonch Masood-ur-Rehman said that the role of scholars has been exemplary in the current situation in the country.
“We thank Allah Almighty that we have got the courage to stand firm in the face of the enemy. The entire nation has maintained an atmosphere of unity.”
The courage with which the Pakistani army forced the enemy to retreat deserves congratulations, he concluded.
