BHIMBER (Kashmir English): Sub-Divisional Magistrate Bhimber, Muhammad Ais Baig, has restricted the entry of heavy traffic on the old iron bridge in Bhimber Rajani to ensure public safety.
In this regard, the district administration has invoked Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) to prohibit the passage of heavy traffic through the bridge.
Heavy traffic is advised to use an alternative route to avoid any potential risks.
The notification stated that the bridge, being an ancient structure, is not designed to withstand heavy traffic, and its collapse could lead to a major accident.
The SHO of Police Station City Bhimber and the District Traffic Inspector have been tasked with implementing the order and deploying traffic officers near the bridge during the monsoon season.
The notification further stated that the order will be in force for three months from the date of issuance, June 25. It added that any violator of this order will face action under Section APC 188.
