KARACHI (Kashmir English): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that authorised bank branches across the country will remain open on Saturday, August 16, from 9:00 am to 2:30 pm, to receive Hajj 2026 applications.
This step followed a request by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, which sought to ease the submission process for intending pilgrims.
Designated banks to receive applications
In compliance, 14 designated banks will ensure their selected branches operate on the day, weekly holiday for banks, to accommodate applicants.
The decision would help provide convenience and sufficient time to those intending to perform Hajj next year, particularly those unable to visit banks on working days.
