Bagh Police apprehend accused in kidnapping case from Gujranwala

BAGH (Kashmir English): In a significant breakthrough, Bagh Police have apprehended an accused in the kidnapping of a local woman from Gujranwala.

As per details, Noman Rauf, a resident of Jandala, Rawalakot, was wanted in connection with the kidnapping of a woman from Arja Police Station’s jurisdiction three months ago.

The arrest was made by a team led by ASI Abdul Qayyum, comprising IHC Ashraf Bajwa, DFC Haider Ali Imran Ajaib, Uzma Butt, and Anam Ghafoor.

According to the district police spokesperson, the investigation is ongoing, and further details will be shared as the case progresses.

In another development, Deputy Inspector General of Police, Poonch Region, Sardar Zaheer, visited the injured police personnel undergoing treatment at CMH Rawalpindi and conveyed his condolences.

Two police personnel were injured in a firing in the Bagh on Friday when police were conducting a search operation to arrest the wanted criminal.

The injured police personnel are now recovering, police said.
