MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir weather update for Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Azad Kashmir’s weather today is overall cloudy, rainy and hazy.

The Meteorological Department had predicted heavy rain and snowfall until March 2, prompting authorities to warn residents and tourists about travel disruptions and extreme cold.

According to the Meteorological Department Pakistan weather alert, the powerful westerly weather system was to bombard upper regions with heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, strong gales, and snow accumulation.

Now once again a brief spell of rain has started, anticipated to spread over a few coming days.

Previously, the weather in AJK was bright and sunny.

Today, Azad Kashmir is to experience partly cloudy weather thrughout the day. A high of 69F with WSW winds at 5 to 10 mph can be observed. As for the night, some clouds and a low of 49F with light and variable winds can be expected.

As of current the temperature is 64F, and the precipitation is at 0 per cent. The humidity is at 22 per cent and the wind blows at 4mph.

Muzaffarabad:

Today the capital weather is a mix of cloudy and sunny weather with scattered thunderstorms expected during the day. The weather is hazy. A high of 76F with WSW winds at 5 to 10 mph can be observed. The chances of rain is 60 per cent. As for the night, some clouds and hazy weather can be expected. A low 52F is anticipated along with light and variable winds.

As of current the weather is partly cloudy, and the temperature is 68F. The precipitation is 0 per cent, the humidity is at 20 per cent. The wind blows at 2mph.

Neelum Valley:

The weather in Neelum Valley is mostly cloudy. The skies are overcast with rain showers at times. A high of 49F with light and variable. The chance of rain is at 60 per cent. As for the night, some clouds with a low of 32F and light and variable winds can be expected.

Rawalakot:

The weather in Rawalakot is cloudy and rainy. The weather is cloudy with a few showers. A high of around 65F with WSW winds at 5 to 10 mph can be observed. The chances of rain are 30 per cent. As for the night a few clouds with a low of 44F with light and variable winds can be expected.

Kotli:

Kotli faces a mix of clouds and sun. The weather is also hazy. A high of around 80F with W winds at 5 to 10 mph can be observed. The weather for the night is partly cloudy and hazy. A low of around 55F with NE winds at 5 to 10 mph can be expected.

Bagh:

Bagh experiences overcast skies with rain showers at times. A high of 71F with light and variable winds and a 40 per cent chance of rain is expected. As for the night, some clouds with a low of around 50F and E winds at 5 to 10 mph are anticipated.

 

AJK will experience rainy and hazy conditions with varying cool temperatures. Residents are advised to dress warmly, especially in higher-altitude areas, and carry umbrellas in regions expecting showers. Travellers to Neelum Valley and other high-altitude areas should remain cautious of road closures or landslides in case of snow showers or rain. Tourists are encouraged to stay safe and plan their activities accordingly.
