MIRPUR (Kashmir English): Azad Kashmir President Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry on Saturday said that every citizen must support the Kashmir freedom movement because it is a national duty, as he highlighted his international efforts to raise awareness and called for unity among political leaders.

On Saturday, Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry, the President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), highlighted that it stands as a national responsibility for all citizens to support and fortify the freedom movement in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

During his speech in Chachian he declared that Kashmir’s freedom movement displays his principal commitment since starting his political career.

President Chaudhry has maintained his dedication to address the Kashmir issue by traveling to major nations which include the United States, United Kingdom, France, and Turkey. The presidential adviser highlighted the necessity to coordinate leaders across political divides into forming a single strong voice regarding India-Pakistan conflicts.

He saw recent significant visits like that of US Congresswoman Ilhan Omar to Muzaffarabad as evidence that his diplomatic approaches successfully promoted global attention toward Kashmir. These international visits, according to him, have forced India to make official diplomatic complaints toward both America and Britain.

During their meeting President Chaudhry advocated for Khari Sharif to become a tehsil while he promoted vision of transforming Pindi Sabharawal Rural Health Centre into a hospital with tehsil-level status.
