MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): In an effort to make challan submission more effective, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has announced the introduction of the E-Challan system across Azad Kashmir.

According to the press release, the AJK police Department has signed an agreement with JS-Zindigi Bank, a commercial bank, to launch an E-Challan service.

The signing ceremony of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was held at the Central Police Office Muzaffarabad in which the CEO of JS-Zindigi bank and senior officials of the Police Department participated.

With the introduction of the online system, manual challan submission will be abolished, and fines can be easily deposited through Zindigi, mobile accounts, bank accounts, and debit/credit cards.

Under the agreement, the bank will provide the necessary gadgets for E Challan to the Azad Kashmir Traffic Police along with the necessary training to the ticketing staff (wardens) to make this system successful.

“Through this modern system, not only will the citizens be provided with convenience but it will also be possible to ensure transparency in the process,” the press release read.
