MUZAFFARABAD (Kashmir English): Prime Minister (PM) of Azad Kashmir Chaudhry Anwarul Haq acknowledged the unwavering resolve of Pakistanis and Kashmiris living around the world to support the oppressed Kashmiri people.

In a video message shared on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Prime Minister AJK said the day is a recognition of the eternal ties and harmony between the people of Pakistan and the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The premier expressed its firm commitment to stand with the oppressed Kashmiri brothers in their struggle for freedom from Indian occupying forces at every moment.

“The Kashmiri people had ideologically linked their future with Pakistan even before the establishment of Pakistan and we are proud of this historic decision,” Chaudhry Anwarul Haq said in a video message ahead of Kashmir Solidarity Day.

Furthermore, PM Haq said the government and the people of Pakistan supported the Kashmiris in every difficult moment, expressing gratitude for the diplomatic, political, and moral support from the government of Pakistan.

Prime Minister hoped that the Kashmiri people would be blessed with freedom soon. “Inshallah soon, the people of occupied Kashmir will achieve the right to self-determination and breathe in free air,” Azad Kashmir PM Haq said.

Talking about the revocation of Kashmir’s special status, the prime minister of Azad Kashmir said that the extremist Indian government took a unilateral action on August 5, 2019, which, he said, the Kashmiri people have completely rejected.

“Despite India’s oppression and tyranny, the people of occupied Kashmir have not given up their struggle for their right to self-determination. I pay tribute to the brothers, sisters, daughters, and elders of occupied Kashmir,” Azad Kashmir PM stated.

Moreover, the premier said, “India has turned occupied Kashmir into a military cantonment. The world should take action against Indian barbarity.”

Further in the video, the Prime Minister paid tribute to the government of Pakistan and the military for adopting a two-pronged stance on the Kashmir issue. “I pay tribute to the sacrifices of the Pakistan Army for the defense of the homeland.”

PM Haq further urged the United Nations to take notice of Indian aggression in occupied Kashmir, adding that Pakistan has always wanted peace in the region.

“The extremist actions of the Indian government have become a threat not only to occupied Kashmir but also to the peace of the entire region,” the Prime Minister added.

On the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, PM Anwar ul Haq pledged to highlight the struggle of the Kashmiri people in a full-fledged manner. “God willing, the day is not far when occupied Jammu and Kashmir will be free from Indian rule,” he concluded.
